EMay has been dancing since 2004, spinning since 2005, and teaching poi since 2009. She has studied under some incredible talent, including Nick Woolsey, Zafira Dance Company, Jill Parker, Rachel Brice, and more. Her props include scimitar (sword), snakes, poi, fans, palms and hoop.

EMay is a founding member of Steel Town Fire, the Pittsburgh Fire Arts Community, and Pyrotopia Fire Arts Festival. When she’s not playing with fire, she is usually playing music, hiking with her dog or making neat things happen.
